About AmirahCo Japanese

A study tool, with room to check your understanding

AmirahCo Japanese combines vocabulary, kanji recognition and sentence practice. Its goal is to help you connect a dictionary word with its reading, meaning and use. It is not a school, examination board, proficiency certificate or replacement for conversation and a complete language course.

The public study guide, sentence-role guide and verb-form guide provide worked explanations you can read without signing in or running JavaScript. The practice app adds selected-card sessions and adaptive ranked review.

What comes from where

The explanations and examples in these guides are written for AmirahCo. The app also uses imported study decks and dictionary material. Those are separate sources, not claimed as our original writing. See Sources & licences for the catalog’s source information.

Imported material can contain mistakes, ambiguous glosses or examples that need context. Automatically linked dictionary entries and word forms are study aids, not a guarantee that every sense fits every sentence. If two sources disagree, check the actual expression and context instead of accepting an automatic match.

These pages are maintained by AmirahCo. No external teacher endorsement or independent expert certification is claimed. The page date identifies its content update, not a promised review frequency.

What the app records

Ranked answers update the app’s familiarity/review history. Targeted unranked practice can still earn activity points. Points measure participation; they are not a Japanese level. An individual “mark mastered” choice is reversible and does not prove successful reviews of the other forms.

Local progress belongs to this browser and address. Optional signed-in cloud backup is separate. Use Save & recovery to check backup/restore status. Do not assume installing the app or signing in alone transferred a save.

Report a problem

Email apps@amirahco.us with the page address, card name or ID, expected answer and what happened. You can attach a screenshot with personal information removed. Never send passwords, sign-in codes or a learner backup unless a specific support exchange calls for it.

Include the browser/device and whether the issue happened in ranked, unranked or lesson practice. That makes a content correction or reproducible software fix much easier. Read our privacy notice for local storage, cloud backup, analytics and advertising boundaries.
